Reader Questions

What is the Romance Gazette?

The Romance Gazette is a collectible romance newspaper packed with reader chaos, dramatic headlines, trope discussions, fake gossip, themed features, spicy energy, bookish humor, interactive pages, and content designed specifically for romance readers who are a little too emotionally attached to fictional men.

Think:

  • old-school newspaper

  • romance fandom culture

  • meme energy

  • cozy bookstore vibes

  • a sleepover with your most unhinged reader friends

All printed on actual paper, because we believe your mail should occasionally feel exciting again.

Is this a real printed newspaper?

Yes. An actual physical newspaper you can hold, fold dramatically, spill tea on, annotate, and leave around your house like a lonely woman waiting for her forbidden lover to return from sea.

Is the content spicy?

Some sections may contain mature humor, romance themes, thirst, emotional instability over fictional characters, and occasional morally questionable commentary about villains. The Gazette is intended for adult romance readers only.

How often do issues release?

The Romance Gazette releases quarterly throughout the year. We care more about making each issue feel exciting, collectible, and ridiculously fun than forcing out rushed releases.

Is this a subscription or one-time purchase?

At launch, issues will primarily be sold individually on Kickstarter. Future subscription options may appear later if the newsroom survives.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! The Romance Gazette ships internationally so readers around the world can participate in the literary chaos. Shipping times and rates will vary depending on location.

Will past editions be available later?

No. Once an issue is gone, it’s gone. Each edition is intended to be a limited collectible release from a very dramatic literary timeline.

Author Questions

How can authors promote in the Gazette?

Authors may be able to participate through:

  • classifieds

  • themed promotions

  • featured spots

  • giveaways

  • sponsorship opportunities

The goal is to help readers discover books in a way that feels fun, immersive, and community-driven instead of overly corporate.

What are classifieds?

Classifieds are tiny old-school newspaper-style ads where authors can promote:

  • books

  • tropes

  • subscriptions

  • reader magnets

  • upcoming releases

  • morally gray men

  • emotional damage

Imagine: “BROODING WEREWOLF SEEKS OBSESSIVE READER.”

That kind of energy.

How do partnerships work? Will there be sponsored spots?

Yes. Future issues may include limited sponsored placements and partnerships that fit the Gazette’s aesthetic and reader experience. We’re especially interested in romance authors, book boxes, reader brands, indie creators, cozy/spicy businesses, and fandom-friendly products. We care deeply about maintaining the vibe of the Gazette, so partnerships will be curated carefully.

Is AI allowed?

No. The Romance Gazette is built to celebrate human creativity, personality, storytelling, humor, and reader culture. We want the paper to be handmade, emotional, weird, passionate, and unmistakably human.

Other BURNING Questions We Know You Have 😉

Why does this feel slightly unhinged?

Because it is. We defend fictional war criminals, cry over eye contact, highlight possessive dialogue in neon ink, and swoon when the villain calls us theirs.

Is the staff okay?

No. We are not. Next question.

Who approved this?

Probably one of your book boyfriends.
